Brackley Swimming Club proudly announces its successful participation in the nationwide Swimathon, held on April 27th, 2024, to support the noble causes of Marie Curie and Cancer Research. The club’s members displayed remarkable dedication and determination as they swam lengths to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.
The Swimathon, an annual charitable event, unites swimmers across the country in a collective effort to raise funds for vital Cancer Research and provide crucial care and support for individuals and families affected by cancer through Marie Curie. Brackley Swimming Club, driven by their commitment to community service, eagerly embraced the opportunity to contribute to these important causes.
Throughout their training and on the day of the event, members of Brackley Swimming Club showcased their passion for swimming and their unwavering support for the fight against cancer. Swimmers of all ages and skill levels within the club came together, demonstrating solidarity and determination as they completed laps in the pool.
“We are immensely proud of our members for their outstanding performance and heartfelt dedication during the Swimathon,” said Rob Platt, Chairman at Brackley Swimming Club. “Their efforts not only highlight their athletic abilities but also underscore their compassion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.”
Brackley Swimming Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported their participation in the Swimathon, whether through sponsorship, donations, or words of encouragement.
